01 The Park

A basecamp where the desert meets the lake.

At roughly 3,600 feet just southeast of Prineville, Sun Rocks sits among juniper, sage, and basalt rimrock — the kind of place where you can fish the reservoir at dawn, hunt thundereggs by afternoon, and watch the Milky Way come out over a dark-sky horizon at night.

Wide pull-through and back-in sites welcome rigs up to 50 feet, four cabins and a tent area round out the stay, and town is only minutes away when you need it. Whether you're passing through or settling in for the season, there's space to breathe.
